We might as well just stick with the galleries considering the level of additional news on offer today (Alicia Silverstone is pregnant;John Cleese turned down £200k to appear on I'm a Celebrity: "It was £200,000, but I would never agree to one of those shows. That would mean the collapse of western civilisation"; Ann Hathaway is appearing on Glee; when Cheryl Cole's ma was presented with the apartment Derek Hough proposes to provide for her daughter once she moves stateside, she chose to forget she brought up her family on one of the roughest housing estates in Newcastle: "Joan went crazy when she saw the pictures of the apartment block and the surrounding area. She was saying, 'Do they want to get my daughter killed?'"; Kanye West is still a plank; and a load of Jordan and Alex related sh*te.)

Prior to yesterday's flurry of Golden Globe activity, pretty much the same people attended the Annual Critic's Choice Awards, where there was more mullet dresses and a lot of black on display. Those who chose the sombre colour includedHelena Bonham Carter(taking the opportunity to remind people she's also in Harry Potter);Mila Kunis; Nicole Kidmanin a shape shifting chemise;Sarah Silverman looking presentable; Julianne Moore(looking insurmountably better than she does here); Keri Hilson; Amber Rose; Elizabeth Chambers; and Tilda Swinton. Oh, andEva Mendes, who appears to be covering her crotch with a clutch.

As for the rest, Sofia Vergara poured her bumps into a silver number, while Michelle Williams opted for another take on the shower curtain. Amy Adamsdidn't do quite as well as she did at the Globes, while Ryan Gosling looked edible.

Personally, the best dressed of the night wasNatalie Portman, giving further gravitas to the term "would look good in a sack", while Kim Kardashian's dress, which probably cost a fortune, looked suitably cheap.

Miao, etc.
