Neil Jordan's epic series finally came to an end this year but that's no reason to miss out. Go back to the very beginning of his historical drama about one of Italy's most powerful families and you'll certainly get your fair share of intrigue, danger and drama. Jeremy Irons plays a blinder as the masterful matriarch who will do anything in his power to get to the top and stay there for as long as possible.
