Prime Video are continuing to deliver on their teaser trailers this month, dropping a first-look at one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

We have an official title for the 'Lord of the Rings' TV series on Prime Video. Releasing a brief teaser trailer this Wednesday after, a new age will begin this September in 'The Rings of Power'.

Here's the teaser for you.

And now you can watch it again via YouTube.

And if you think that everything you saw was CGI, think again. According to reports, the forging of the rings was actually filmed in real life by Amazon.

So, what do you make of this tease? A currently unnamed female voice-over (which is rumoured to be Welsh actor Morfydd Clark as Galadriel, the Elven leader played by Cate Blanchett in the original series) narrates some of the most iconic lines from Tolkien: "Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky / Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone / Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die / One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne / In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie."

Showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay said to Decider: "This is a title that we imagine could live on the spine of a book next to J.R.R. Tolkien’s other classics.

"'The Rings of Power unites all the major stories of Middle-earth’s Second Age: the forging of the rings, the rise of the Dark Lord Sauron, the epic tale of Númenor, and the Last Alliance of Elves and Men. Until now, audiences have only seen on-screen the story of the One Ring — but before there was one, there were many… And we’re excited to share the epic story of them all."

If Prime Video keeps these new releases coming, 2022 could be the streaming service really takes a lead over its competitors.

'The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power' begins on Prime Video on September 2, 2022.
