Turning 'The Boys' into an animation really is a no-brainer; just think of all of the bloody dizzying heights the series can take.

We've just had our first look at 'The Boys Presents: Diabolical', and we are happy to report that the animated spin-off is just as deranged as we were expecting - if not even more so.

Based on the popular Prime Video series, which itself is based on the best-selling comic by Northern Irish writer Garth Ennis and illustrator Darick Robertson, the series is once again headed up by 'The Boys' creative team, including Simon Racioppa, Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver.

The eight-episode series will be compiled of what Prime Video are describing as "fun-sized" episodes, which will run no longer than 14 minutes each. It will also be an anthology series with each entry having its own unique animation style.

Featuring eight previously unseen stories within 'The Boys' universe, the animation series will be "brought to life" by the likes of Garth Ennis, Awkwafina, Andy Samberg, Eliot Glazer and Ilana Glazer, Evan Goldberg, Seth Rogen, Simon Racioppa, Justin Roiland, Ben Bayouth, and Aisha Tyler.

'The Boys Presents: Diabolical' seems insane enough to tide us over until the meatier return of the live-action series this summer. 'The Boys' season three will premiere on June 3, with three episodes of the new series available from launch. A brief teaser for the season was unleashed earlier this month.

Here's the teaser for the upcoming release, which features a super-powered baby making a bloody mess of things.

'The Boys Presents: Diabolical' will premiere on Prime Video on March 4.
