Hold onto your broomsticks (and your little children), because the Sanderson sisters are back from the dead, just in time for this year's Halloween festivities.
The sistaaaaas are back! Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy have reunited as Winifred, Sarah and Mary Sanderson in the sequel to everyone's favourite cheesy Halloween movie. Catch the first 'Hocus Pocus 2' teaser trailer down below.
The long-awaited sequel is skipping cinemas and hits Disney+ this September, and oh my, it looks like the last 30 or so years have been very kind to the three main stars.
Set 29 years after the events of the 1993 release, the sequel film is set in the present day and sees the dreaded Black Flame Candle once again be lit by an unsuspecting virgin on All Hallow's Eve. As you can see in the teaser, it's only in the final moments of the teaser that we get to see how well the three witches look all these years later. They might be looking fresh as hell, but we're guessing they're still after some children's souls to suck and become younger looking than ever.
Midler, Parker and Najimy will be joined by Doug Jones, who returns as Billy Butcherson, the friendly corpse from the first film. Thora Birch, who originally played youngster Dani in the first film, was asked to return but sadly scheduling issues prevented her from appearing.
A whole host of new characters join the cast this time around, with Hannah Waddingham ('Ted Lasso'), Tony Hale ('Veep'), Sam Richardson ('The Afterparty'), as well as Whitney Peak ('Gossip Girl'), Lilia Buckingham ('Dirt'), Belisa Escobedo ('American Horror Stories'), Juju Brener ('Vanquish'), Froy Gutierrez ('Teen Wolf') also joining.
The official synopsis for the film is as follows:
It’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th-century sisters, and they are looking for revenge. Now it is up to three high-school students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve.

The film is directed by Anne Fletcher ('Dumplin'', 'The Proposal') and is written by Jen D’Angelo ('Workaholics'). Ralph Winter and David Kirschner, who both worked on the original film, serve as executive producers.
'Hocus Pocus 2' premieres on Disney+ on September 30.
