Whether you're a fan of country music or not, you can't deny that Dolly Parton is a national - heck, a global treasure.

The 73-year-old country star's incredible career has spanned six decades, and now a new Netflix series will tell the story of some of her best-known songs in an unusual way.

It's called 'Heartstrings' and it's an eight-part series of stories that are based on Parton's music. She will both introduce each episode, as well as act in the stories, and both new and old songs of hers will score each episode. And yes, 'Jolene' is one of them.

Parton signed a development deal with Netflix and this is the second project to emerge from it, following the film 'Dumplin' with Jennifer Aniston and Danielle Macdonald (which also featured her music and is well worth watching) last year.

There are some well-known acting stalwarts featuring in 'Heartstrings', too - including Kathleen Turner, Ginnifer Goodwin, Julianne Hough and more.

The first trailer for the series has arrived, and gives a taste of what to expect from each of the eight episodes. The whole series arrives on Netflix on November 22nd.
