The 'special guest' slot on the Live at Worthy Farm livestream on Saturday night turned out to be very special indeed.

Just hours before the gig kicked off, it was announced that Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead had formed a new band called The Smile, with drummer Tom Skinner.

The trio made their debut at the Glastonbury stream on Saturday night, which was beset by technical issues that led to many viewers being locked out of the paid livestream.

It did mean, however, that the stream was eventually made free to all viewers which meant that many got to see The Smile's debut gig.

They played an eight-song set, with song titles including 'You Will Never Work in Television Again', 'Just Eyes and Mouth' and 'Panavision'.

Their set was largely well-received, with many praising Yorke's return to a rockier sound following his experimental electronic-led solo incursions.
