The members of S Club 7 had a very difficult decision to make following the sad and untimely death of Paul Cattermole last month.

Cattermole's death came just months after it was announced that the pop band would be celebrating their 25th anniversary with a reunion tour that would take in the UK and Ireland.

However, the plan was thrown into disarray after their founding member passed away on April 6th at the age of 46.

Now, the remaining members have revealed that they intend to continue with the tour and honour their former bandmate, although they also announced that Hannah Spearitt will not be joining them.

They have now rebranded as 'S Club', with Jon Lee revealing the news in a video post on their Instagram.

"You've probably noticed that there are only five of us here today, and although Hannah will always be part of S Club 7, she won't be joining us on this tour," he said. "We wish her all the best for the future."

He added: "We have been in a bit of shock, and it has taken a while for us to find the right words to describe how we feel about losing our brother Paul."

Bandmate Rachel Stevens added that they were "Just taking the time to process and get our heads around it all, and also taking time to share time together so that we could remember Paul and all the memories we had together."

Bradley McIntosh and Jo O'Meara shared their memories of Cattermole, with the former saying they were "all still in so much disbelief".

"Paul was a big brother to us, all of us and you guys out there," he added. "He truly was a unique specimen of human being. No one could replace our Paul, he lives on inside in each and every one of us."

The band have renamed the tour the 'Good Times' tour, in memory of Paul, with Tina Barrett explaining: "That was his song and all the fans knew it was his song, so it just feels right."

The tour will hit Dublin's 3Arena on October 16th.
