Call it a Christmas miracle if you will, but this is the news that may well turn your 2020 around.

Well, if you're a fan of bubblegum pop from the early '00s, that is.

The full line-up of S Club 7 are reportedly in talks to reunite and release new music next year.

The pop group, which formed by Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller in 1998 and even had their own TV show, 'Miami 7', were together for 5 years and scored multiple #1 hits in the UK and Europe, selling over 10 million albums worldwide. They began to break-up after Paul Cattermole's departure and called it a day in 2003.

They briefly reunited in 2014 for Children in Needs before embarking on a tour the following year. In more recent years, some iteration of the group have appeared at festivals like Electric Picnic under the S Club banner.

However, it looks like they may be on the comeback trail, according to Tina Barrett, who says they were inspired by Steps' recent reunion - as well as taking Giovanna Fletcher's rendition of 'Reach' on the recent 'I'm a Celeb' series as a sign.

"We definitely want to do something new together," she told The Sun. "We’re all older now so we could do something that reflects how we are now — not such a teeny-bopper sound, something more credible."

She added: "I've chatted to pretty much everyone and I think we're all up for it. So it’s just about getting it in the diary. I'm pretty sure it will happen."

Some peace talks may be in order before then, as only two years ago Cattermole -  who has been selling all his band memorabilia and awards on eBay in recent years - was accusing Jo O'Meara of being a 'bully'.
