Ronnie Wood has suggested to fans on his official Twitter page that the Rolling Stones could be embarking on an extended tour this year.

Participating in a Twitter chat with fans using the hashtag #AskRonnie, the Stones guitarist took the time to answer many queries from fans of the band - the most common of which were inquiries into whether or not the band's handful of dates in 2012 would be continued this year.

In response to one question which asked "what was it like doing the four shows last year?", Wood replied: "Not enough ~ get ready for more". When asked directly if the Stones are planning any live dates this year, he Tweeted: "watch this space."

The Rolling Stones played four high profile dates in 2012, two in London and two in New Jersey, as well as a few small practice shows to a couple of hundred lucky spectators.

Kasabian hinted last week that the Stones will be announced as the headliner of Glastonbury this summer, but there hasn't been any official announcement from either party.
