Lockdown has meant the curtailment of many things in the music world - but it has also helped to foster creative relationships in some cases, too.

One of them is between Paul Noonan, best known for fronting Bell X1, and Clare-based electronic musician Daithí Ó Drónaí aka Daithí.

The pair had previously worked together when Noonan provided vocals on the song 'Take the Wheel' from Daithí's 2019 album 'L.O.S.S.'

Now, they have formed a new band called House Plants.

Daithí - who has spent much of the past year opening and running new artists' retreat The Beekeepers - teased their debut single 'What's With All the Pine?' with a social media post.

Noonan, meanwhile, has been staging regular gigs with his two children from his Dublin home during the pandemic under the 'Electric Kazoo' banner. He recently performed the show as part of the MusicTown programme. Bell X1's last album was 2016's 'Arms' and Noonan released a solo album under the guise of 'Printer Clips' in 2017.

The song, which you can hear a snippet of above, will be released in full tomorrow.
