Grimes is not the only pop star who has announced her pregnancy in a novel way.
Katy Perry has made the happy revelation that she's expecting in her new music video.
'Never Worn White' sees the 35-year-old star, who is engaged to actor Orlando Bloom, cradling her growing bump. There's no word on her due date, but she later took to Twitter to say that it's "going to be a jam-packed summer".
She also joked that she was "so glad she doesn't have to suck it in anymore" now that the news is out.
It'll be Perry's first child, and Bloom's second; he has a son, Flynn, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.

The song itself, meanwhile, is an epic love ballad about commitment, with lines like: "Thank God that you were man enough to come / Answer my mamma's prayers / You asked the question, I said, "Yes" / But I'm scared".
