Fresh off the stage of his headline Olympia gig last night, James Vincent McMorrow has released his new single 'The Less I Knew'.

As well as that, the Dublin singer-songwriter has also announced not one, but two new albums coming this year

The first album 'The Less I Knew', will be releasing on June 24. The second, 'Heavyweight Champion of Dublin 8', will release in the Autumn. Both albums consist of 8 tracks each.

'The Less I Knew' will follow up McMorrow's album 'Grapefruit Season' released last year.

McMorrow said of his upcoming albums:

"The fact I get to do this job at all is an absolute miracle. And it all could be over in a minute. So I’m not going to overthink it if I can help it.

"The album is just about doing whatever you want, whatever you need, to make life work for you. Less pretence, less containing emotion inside and hoping it subsides, less worrying about what other people might be thinking or doing."

All songs on both albums are written and produced by McMorrow, with engineering and mixing by Alex Borwick (Who has also worked with Niamh Regan).
