We don't know if The Spice Girls have any new music on the way, but Emma Bunton sure does.

Somehow this one has slipped past us unnoticed - Emma Bunton has released new music.

If you thought Bunton was busy gearing up for her return with The Spice Girls at Croke Park this summer, then think again. It appears that the singer has been squirrelling away on her new solo album, which is out in a few weeks time.

The news has reached our ears, and we have to admit that we're a little bit crestfallen. Does this mean that new Spice Girls material might not be on the way? Oh dear.

Bunton's new tunes will have to do for the moment, because it turns out the album might be okay. 'My Happy Place' will be released on April 12th, and is set to feature a couple of tracks with notable guest appearances. Will Young will duet with Bunton for a cover of Dusty Springfield's 'I Only Want To Be With You;' and her husband Jade Jones will sing Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's 'You're All I Need To Get By.'

There is one other notable singer and song on the album - and we don't know how we feel about this one. Robbie Williams will join Bunton on a new version of... wait for it... '2 Become 1.' How will that sound? We have no idea.

Anyway, here's Bunton's newest original single, 'Baby Please Don't Stop,' which was uploaded onto her YouTube account six days ago.

What do you make of Emma Bunton and her comeback? Or would you rather some new full-on Spice Girls tracks? We know what we'd prefer.
