The Spice Girls - each of them had varying levels of solo success over the years. However, we believe Emma Bunton's had one of the strongest and most memorable.

It also just-so-happens to be Emma's 43rd birthday today, so here's her six best songs - enjoy the throwback.

'I'll Be There'

The music video was filmed in Paris by director Giuseppe Capotondi, who also shot the music videos for Natalie Imbruglia's 'Counting Down The Days' and Amy Studt's 'Under The Thumb.'

'What Took You So Long'

Bunton's first single from her debut album 'A Girls Like Me' in 2001 meant that she was now the fourth ex-Spice Girl to secure a UK number one (the song went to number nine in Ireland). Can you name the only Spice Girl to not make a number one hit? Hint: she's not taking part in the reunion tour either.

'Crickets Sing For Anamaria'

Remember this one? A cover of Brazilian samba singer's Astrud Gilberto 1968 hit, Bunton released her version in 2003. "Suddenly the Papa came, and then the Mama came..."

Tin Tin Out - 'What I Am'

Also a cover song, Tin Tin Out's 'What I Am' turned out to be a one-hit wonder for the English band. However, it secured Emma Bunton as a credible solo artist, and was her first top-10 hit after the break-up of The Spice Girls.

'Take My Breath Away'

We're definitely getting some strong 'Dawson's Creek'/The Corrs vibes from this one.

'Maybe'

Arguably her biggest hit, Bunton's 'Maybe' was released in 2003. It came at a time when other solo female artists such as Rachel Stevens and Joss Stone were dominating the charts.
