Donald Trump has tweeted that he intends to speak to the Swedish Prime Minister about the imprisonment of rapper A$AP Rocky, following a visit from his old pal, Kanye West.
A$AP Rocky - real name Rakim Mayers - was arrested on July 2nd after allegedly assaulting a man in Stockholm. Since then, Mayers has been kept in prison. On Friday, the prosecutor's office in Stockholm ruled that Mayers can be held for six more days, at which time there'll be a determination made about Rocky's imprisonment.
The rapper, who has over 10 million followers on Instagram, was posting videos leading up to his arrest of the suspected incident that led to it. Meanwhile, artists such as Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber have come out in support of Rocky, but it was Kanye West - who is a personal friend of Trump, apparently - that got the US President involved.

So, the big question - why is Donald Trump getting involved? Well, it might have something to do with the fact that he's consistently used racist language throughout his presidency, and most recently told four women of colour from the Democratic Party to "go home" to their countries.
Not only that, while at a rally a few days later, a crowd chant of "Send her back" struck up while he was denouncing one of the same women - Representative Ilhan Omar - that he didn't stop. Trump then later tried to claim that he told the crowd to stop. There was video footage that categorically showed he was lying.
In short, Donald Trump is a lying sack of shit and a racist - and the only reason he's getting involved in A$AP Rocky's imprisonment is because he thinks this will stop people from calling him a racist.
It won't.
