"Here’s a story about how a stalker scammed her way into my life and tried to extort me for millions and then sued me when she didn’t get what she wanted."

Diplo has shared his side of the story following allegations of rape and sexual assault against him. The 42-year-old DJ and EDM artist, who has collaborated with a number of pop stars including Beyonce, Britney Spears and Shakira, could face jail time if convicted.

Buzzfeed News reported this week that Diplo, whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz, is being accused by an unnamed 25-year-old woman of: "Recording sexually explicit videos of her without her permission, distributing at least one without her consent, and knowingly infecting her with chlamydia."

According to the news outlet, the allegations also detailed that Pentz had raped her in his Las Vegas hotel room after one of his concerts. However, no criminal charges have been filed in relation to that alleged incident. Lawyers for the DJ have denied any such happenings.

Hours after the news broke online, Diplo has addressed the sexual assault allegations on his Instagram page. In an incredibly details response to the news, he branded the accusor as a "stalker" who "was an obsessed fan of mine".

In the lengthy post, he explains that he had "a night of consensual sex" with the woman he is calling "SA", and she was "not a minor when I had conversations or sexual intercourse with her". He continues that "her own text messages admit this", and the DJ has uploaded video evidence of their thread of text messages.

However, he claims that the brief relationship went sour after "I realised she had become obsessed with me", which began a "nightmare of three years or her harassing and threatening me, my family and my friends".

After a party where "SA" and her friends joined Diplo, one of the woman's friends told Diplo: "You need to stop talking to this girl. She's crazy and has it out for you."

After this, Diplo alleges that "SA" began to post on websites about their relationship, posting nude pictures and videos of the DJ, screenshots of their conversations, and claiming that she was underage to people in private messages.

Her friend later filed a lawsuit in Nevada, which "fabricated the entire experience", with her friends being forced to issue an apology within 10 days.

This past April, Diplo filed a lawsuit against "SA" for stalking, trespass and revenge porn. She then counter-sued, claiming that he had raped her, even though there is evidence of her writing "that paedophile never raped me".

Diplo ended his post by writing: "I will continue to do everything I can to end this in the most respectful way but I will not give in to lies and harassment."
