If you're a fan of Joy Division and/or New Order, a new podcast is launching next week that you'll be interested in subscribing to.

'Transmissions: The Definitive Story' will tell the story of Joy Division and how they went on to become New Order following frontman Ian Curtis's death at the age of 23 in 1980.

New Order would go on to have enormous worldwide success in ensuing decades, although the band fractured in 2007 when bassist Peter Hook left.  The 8-part podcast will feature interviews from band members Bernard Sumner, Hook, Stephen Morris and Gillian Gilbert.

It's narrated by actress Maxine Peake, and will also feature contributions from special guests, including Bono, Damon Albarn, Pet Shop Boys, Johnny Marr, Bobby Gillespie, Liam Gallagher and many more.

The series will cover Joy Division's formation up until New Order released 'Blue Monday' in 1983.

It launches on Thursday, October 29th and is available via Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube, Amazon Music, Stitcher, and wherever you get your podcasts.
