The house once owned by Joy Division's Ian Curtis - and the place where he took his own life - has gone on the market.

77 Barton Street in the town of Macclesfield in Cheshire has been listed on a UK property site Rightmove, with an asking price of £115,000 (€155,000).

It was used as a location in the Anton Corbijn-directed biopic of Curtis's life, 'Control', which was released in 2007.

Curtis died in May 1980 at the age of 23.
