Ariana Grande released the song following the death of Mac Miller and the breakdown of her relationship with Pete Davidson, both of which are name-checked in the lyrics. The exceptionally honest song has attracted almost 34 million views so far on YouTube. Plus, it's currently number 1 for the third week in a row stateside and is also sitting pretty at the top of the Irish charts.

Over the past week, Ariana has been teasing behind the scenes shots from the music video shoot, with nostalgic nods to massive movies like Legally Blonde, Bring It On, 13 Going on 30 and Mean Girls.

In her most recent Instagram post, she has shared the first trailer for the "thank u, next" music video and it is a full-on Mean Girls tribute! With cameos from YouTube stars, Miranda Sings and Troye Sivan, plus actor Jonathan Bennett who played Aaron Samuels in the first (and let's be honest, the only one that counts) Mean Girls film.
