One of them happened to Dan Crenshaw, a former US Navy SEAL who lost his eye in Afghanistan. Crenshaw, a Republican, was described by Davidson as looking like "a hitman in a porno movie."
The joke was particularly contentious, with some 'SNL' castmates reacting strongly to it. Kenan Thompson stated in an interview that he felt the joke went too far. Cut to last night, and Davidson brought Crenshaw out with him during his segment on 'SNL'.
As Davidson introduced and thanked Crenshaw for coming, the Republican congressman-elect replied, "Thanks for making a Republican look good."
It didn't end there, as Crenshaw's phone went off during the segment - revealing his ringtone to be Ariana Grande's hit, 'Breathin'.
