The 'Physical' actor might rile a few intergalactic feathers with this truth bomb she revealed on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' last night.

So it turns out that Rose Byrne either didn't realise or has completely forgotten that the 'Star Wars' film she appeared in was a prequel to the original trilogy of the '70s and '80s.

Byrne, known for playing snooty Helen in 'Bridesmaids', Moira MacTaggert in 'X-Men' and Renai in the first two 'Insidious' movies, admitted her truth while appearing on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live', with the host left in disbelief.

Although Rose Byrne didn't quite play a pivotal character in 'Star Wars: Attack of the Clones', it was her first major film role. A very small part, she starred as Padmé's (Natalie Portman) handmaiden Dormé, appearing briefly in a handful of scenes.

Admitting to Kimmel that she's not really a "Star Wars person" while in studio last night, she then further put her foot in her mouth by revealing she didn't know the film she starred in happened before Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) entered the picture.

The moment of realisation happened just last week when her husband, actor Bobby Cannavale, introduced their two children to the 'Star Wars' universe, beginning with 'Episode 1: The Phantom Menace'.

And so, it only took Rose Byrne 20 years to realise the 'Star Wars' canon is definitely not linear. She also called it the "Star Wars Enterprise", which is just so hilariously wrong on so many levels.

Here's the clip, which is sure to make you chuckle.

Rose Byrne, we still love you even if your 'Star Wars' knowledge isn't up to scratch.
