The lead and director of 'Requiem For a Dream', Jared Leto and Darren Aronofsky, are collaborating on a new movie project.

'Requiem For a Dream' was released in 2000 and starred Ellen Burstyn, Jennifer Connelly, and Marlon Wayans as well as Jared Leto.

The film follows four characters afflicted by drug addiction and how substance abuse comes to utterly devastate their lives.

Director Darren Aronofsky would go on to direct such films as 'The Wrestler', 'Black Swan' and 'Mother!'

His next project, a horror titled 'Adrift', sees him re-team with Leto.

It is set in the open sea, where a fishing boat discovers an abandoned yacht with a strange distress call.

A deckhand agrees to take lone control while the boat is towed into port.

But he soon discovers why the rest of his more experienced crew members call it a ‘Ghost Ship.'

Spooky...

The movie based on a short story by Koji Suzuki, who wrote the novel that spawned 'The Ring'.

Studios and streaming services are already circling in the hopes of making a deal for the film.

Before making 'Adrift', Aronofsky's next project is 'The Whale', starring Brendan Fraser.

Leto won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for 'Dallas Buyers Club'.

His upcoming work includes 'Morbius', which has been delayed a number of times, and 'Tron 3'.

He will also reprise his 'Suicide Squad' role of the Joker in Zack Snyder's 'Justice League'.
