According to reports, Michael Keaton will be reprising his role as the Caped Crusader aka Bruce Wayne aka Batman, in not one but two upcoming DC/Warner Bros. features.
Previously, it had been announced that Michael Keaton will play Batman in 'The Flash' opposite Ezra Miller and Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne.
Now Keaton will be suiting up as the superhero for 'Batgirl' as well, per EW.
'In the Heights' star Leslie Grace is playing the superheroine whose alias is Barbara Gordon.
J.K. Simmons plays her father, Police Commissioner James Gordon, while Brendan Fraser has been cast as the villain Firefly.
'Bad Boys For Life' directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are at the helm.
The movie is currently shooting and set for a release in 2022 on HBO Max.
'The Flash' hits cinemas on November 4th, 2022.
Michael Keaton first played the beloved superhero role in 1989's 'Batman', returning as the character in 1992's 'Batman Returns'.
Writer Christina Hodson, who previously penned 'Birds of Prey' and 'Bumblebee', described what we can expect in the story of 'Batgirl' at DC's FanDome.
She said: "What's kind of funny about Barbara [Gordon] and Batgirl is that in this story, she's discovering Batgirl for the first time.
"So she's getting to explore a duality she's always had in her personality, but it's this whole new side of her personality, a side that's more daring and slightly less normal side of her that we just get to have fun and play with."
