This week, it's been ten years since the London premiere of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2', a movie released a week later to feverish Potterheads waiting to see how the final showdown between Harry and Voldemort would go down.

10 years later, and the Wizarding World is still very much present. 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2' was released on July 15 in cinemas around the world, allowing us to believe that the franchise had hung up its wands, cloaks, and pumpkin pasties for good.

Since then, however, there have been two new entries in the movie series, with 'Fantastic Beasts' expanding upon the franchise. The next entry is scheduled for release in 2022. There's also a planned HBO TV series in the works, which is in its very early stages of development.

The seventh book of the series, 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows', was split into two movies. This was done to flesh out the storyline, as there are many magical happenings before the final showdown between good and evil - The Battle of Hogwarts.
