Universal Pictures have released the brand new trailer for 'The High Note' starring Dakota Johnson and rapper Ice Cube.

Some bosses are real divas - and that's exactly what Dakota Johnson is about to learn in her latest movie. 'The High Note' will see the '50 Shades of Grey' actress play Maggie, who is an overworked personal assistant.

She isn't a personal assistant to just anyone, however. Set in the dazzling world of the LA music scene, Maggie works for Grace Davis - played by Tracee Ellis Ross from TV series 'Blackish' - a superstar whose talent and ego have reached unbelievable heights.

Maggie aspires of becoming a music producer, so when Grace’s manager - played by Ice Cube - presents her with a choice that could alter the course of her career, Maggie and Grace hatch a grand plan. Kelvin Harrison Jr. also stars, while comedian Eddie Izzard is also believed to have a role in the movie.

Since the final instalment of the book series, 'Fifty Shades Freed' was released in 2018, Dakota Johnson hasn't been too busy working away on other projects. Apart from her incredibly awkward chat with Ellen Degeneres, she also appeared in the 'Suspiria' remake.

Here's the trailer for her new movie.

'The High Note' releases in Irish cinemas on May 8th.
