Daniel Craig's final, final outing as 007 is just a few weeks away from being released, and one of the movie's most high-profiled writers has revealed what exactly she did while working on 'No Time To Die'.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who we all know and love from 'Fleabag', has revealed in an interview how much input she had in Bond's most recent adventure. Anticipation for Bond 25 was, to put it mildly, pretty low when it was announced as Craig's final hurrah. However, when the famed writer was announced as an inclusion, interest was certainly piqued.
Speaking to Chris Evans on his Virgin Media breakfast radio show recently, Phoebe spoke of when producer Barbara Broccoli approached her to be involved in the action movie. She said: "I was in the edit for 'Fleabag'. It was an afternoon, and I had the call that Barbara wanted to meet me. The strangest thing is, is that I’d really... I had been sort of dreaming about the idea of it only a few months beforehand. I was like, 'Oh, wouldn’t it be cool to be involved in a Bond film' to sort of just put that there in the ether. And then it just came around."
She then went on to speak of how involved she became on the project, saying that she wrote alternatives to scenes. She said: "[I was asked to do] dialogue polishes and to offer things really. It’s about just offering different alternatives. They did give me some scenes and then be like, can you write some alternatives for this or have another idea about where it could go in the middle or how it would end.
"And then I would just give them options and various scenes and then they would take what they want. But there was a lot people writing — the director [Cary Fukunaga] was a writer on it as well. And there’d been a few writers before."
'No Time To Die' arrives in Irish cinemas on April 3rd.
