Most movie aficionados know by now that 'Bond 25' has been plagued by production issues.

First there was the whole debacle around getting a director following Danny Boyle's departure due to "creative differences". Then Cary Fukunaga took the reins. However shooting on 'Bond 25' halted for a time when Daniel Craig injured his ankle.

Now a super slick minute-long teaser from the spy-action movie has gone live. The first look video features a mixture of the film and behind-the-scenes moments.

It shows director Cary Fukunaga at work and Craig, Jeffrey Wright (Felix Leiter) and Lashana Lynch (Nomi) on set.

Jamaica is the primary shooting location for 'Bond 25'.

Returning cast members include Ralph Fiennes, Lea Seadoux, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw and Rory Kinnear. New cast members include Ana De Armas (known for 'Blade Runner 2049'), Dali Benssalah, David Dencik, Billy Magnussen ('The Big Short') and Rami Malek.

The plot synopsis reads:

"Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology."

'Bond 25' hits cinemas in Ireland and internationally from April 3, 2020.
