With the December release date rapidly approaching, Nintendo fans cannot wait to get their mitts on the eagerly awaited new title in the series.

'Super Smash Bros. Ultimate' will be the fifth home console entry for the 'Smash Bros.' series, and it's headed for Nintendo's current handheld/home console the Nintendo Switch this December. The new entry in the fighting series, will see the series' biggest roster to date with all of the previous characters returning to the game, including Mario, Link, Princess Peach, Sonic the Hedgehog, and 'Metal Gear Solid''s Snake, as well as some new faces. And it's these potential new faces that has fans scrambling for some new information.

According to Ign, a leaked image has been circulating the internet with of some of the new fighters that will be playable in the game, including cult favourites Banjo-Kazooie. Have a look at the blurry images taken by a French person below:

While the images aren't extremely clear, people have been going to great lengths in order to zoom in on the final roster, and here's the best we've seen yet:

As well as one of the N64's greatest platform duo potentially set to be part of the roster, fans are speculating that Ken from 'Street Fighter', and Shadow the hedgehog will also be included. There's been no official confirmation from Nintendo on the matter yet, so we should take all of this speculation with a grain of salt for now.

'Super Smash Bros. Ultimate' will arrive on the Nintendo Switch on December 7th.
