With the Bank Holiday weekend fast approaching, there are plenty of live music events going on, starting from Wednesday night all the way up until Sunday.

No matter what you're in the mood for, the next few days have a bit of everything. We've rounded up the best of the long weekend highlights, so you're bound to find something of interest!

Wednesday, March 16

Lyra, Soulé and Bobbi Arlo - Mainstage at the Festival Quarter

This is bound to be an Irish pop masterclass from the talented trio. It's a free event as part of the St. Patrick's Day festival, taking place in and around The National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks.

The gig kicks off at 7pm and is an over 18's event.

Máthair - Spiegeltent Mór

On opening night at the National Museum of Ireland, the eve of St. Patrick’s Day, the undisputed queens of the Dublin dancefloor, ‘Mother DJs’ will take over the Spiegeltent Mór with a queer club show to kick off the festival.

Its free and unticketed, so just rock up the the National Museum on the night and dance!

FatBoy Slim - 3Arena

Fatboy Slim to play 3Arena

Legendary DJ Fatboy Slim (aka Norman Cook) will be taking to the decks in a huge way early next year. He’s announced the biggest tour he’s ever done - including a night in the 3Arena on Wednesday night.

The Guinness Storehouse Brewer's Feast

The Guinness Storehouse

The Guinness Storehouse and Open Gate Brewery have announced the details of what they have in store this St. Patrick’s Festival, which kicks off on Wednesday, March 16, 2022.

The Brewer's Feast starting on the 16th will see performances from Carrie Baxter, FeliSpeaks and Sorcha Richardson across three nights.

Thursday, March 17

The Mary Wallopers - Vicar St

Made up of brothers Andrew and Charles Hendy, as well as Sean McKenna, the Dundalk ballad group have rapidly established themselves as a captivating force in Irish music. The group mix wit and humour with a wonderful talent for music, combing irreverence with salient societal messages.

The Mary Wallopers are now playing their biggest gig yet on St. Patrick's Day this year in Vicar Street. Tickets can be bought here.

DJ Jenny Greene at Opium

Jenny brings her explosive solo show to Dublin's Opium Venue for one night only! Doors 10:30pm - Strictly Over 18s.

Friday, March 18

Damien Dempsey and THUMPER

Damien Dempsey

As part of the St. Patrick's Day festival, Damien Dempsey and noise-rock band THUMPER will be taking the stage at Festival Quarter in Collins Barracks.

Mango X Mathman Feat Trinity Orchestra, Malaki and Adam Mohamed Spiegeltent Mór @ Festival Quarter

Vanguard of Ireland's burgeoning hip-hop & rave scene Mango X MathMan performing a special show with the Trinity Orchestra, and rap star of the moment Malaki, all take control of the sounds as the sun sets on the National Museum

Support comes from spoken word poet and artist Adam Mohamed.

Saturday, March 19

The Bonny Men - The Sugar Club

The Bonny Men

Celebrating a decade of music together, The Bonny Men make their Dublin return to the Sugar Club for their ten-year anniversary. Sunday, March 20

Local Boy - The Workmans Club

Cool down from the hectic weekend with the very groovy Local Boy, a musician, producer and singer from Dublin.

In December 2019 Local Boy released his EP 'Local Boy Ruins Everything'. Local Boy wrote, produced and mixed the entirety of the five track project which tells indie infused tales of everyday mundanity and dreams of rock 'n' roll stardom.
