'The Invisible Man' impressed critics and fared well at the box office (making $123 million against a $7 million budget) when it hit cinemas last month.

It was the first prominent attempt to bring 'The Invisible Man' to the big screen since the 1930s. People were impressed with the modern day take on the character.

The movie stars Elisabeth Moss, best-known for her roles in 'Mad Men' and 'The Handmaid's Tale', as the victim of an abusive relationship who manages to get away from her partner's house. After he dies, it seems she can finally move on. That is until a strange invisible force begins to haunt her.

The practical effects and calculated cinematography that went into the horror are quite impressive, as this video from Entertainment Insider demonstrates. The video also takes a fascinating deep dive into the history of the movie monster.

The director of the movie, Leigh Whannell, related another behind the scenes fact about one scene in particular.

Sharing the same video, he wrote: "As I watched this I started with a wistful smile on my face as I thought about making this film until I shivered and looked up and saw a line producer staring at me from the corner of my darkened bedroom and she hissed “you have 1 day to finish the kitchen fight” and I screamed"
