Pack your bags for an autumn getaway

'The White Lotus' season two has a release date of October on HBO Max and we cannot wait to see what's next in store for the high-flying snobs as they head to Europe for the getaway of all getaways.

The Mike White anthology series will see Jennifer Coolidge's character Tanya return for the second instalment, as she swaps her Hawaiian escape for one in Sicily this time around. She'll also be joined by another season one star, Jon Gries, who played Tanya's eventual love interest, Greg.

New to the franchise this time around are Aubrey Plaza, Theo James, Will Sharpe, Sabrina Impacciatore and Meghann Fahy, Tom Hollander, Haley Lu Richardson, F. Murray Abraham, Adam DiMarco, Michael Imperioli and Leo Woodall.

The White Lotus HBO promo

A series based on just how narcissistic a group of rich people can be, and the poor hotel staff to have to deal with their demands, 'The White Lotus' was a huge hit for HBO at the beginning of 2021. Over here in Ireland, Sky and streaming service NOW carried the series, and will hopefully premiere the second season of the show around the same time as the US.

The first season received 20 Emmy Award nominations just recently, with pretty much all of the main cast members (Jennifer CoolidgeSydney Sweeney, Murray Bartlett, Connie Britton, Alexandra Daddario, Jake Lacy, Steve Zahn and Natasha Rothwell) receiving a nomination.

Should a third season get the green light - which is surely a certainty - the season one cast has expressed interest in returning once again. Could we see a potential overlap of season one guests mixing with those from season two in a brand new "White Lotus" luxury location? Now that's something we'd love to see.

entertainment.ie have reached out to Sky Ireland regarding 'The White Lotus' season two release date and they have confirmed Sky Atlantic and NOW will begin streaming the show in October.
