"Doctor, I need 10ccs of horniness. Stat."
Given how 'Grey's Anatomy' will most likely outlive us all, it's about time the show got an injection of horniness.
Considering this is the show that gave birth to such diverse characters as "McDreamy" and "McSteamy", it's only right that 'Grey's Anatomy' gives the people what they want - more of that kind of thing. In an interview with Deadline, showrunner Krista Vernoff outlined her vision to Make 'Grey's Anatomy Sexy Again.
"There are different rules for a 9PM show than there are for an 8PM. show, and we hope to take advantage of those rules," Vernoff explained. If you thought that the last eight seasons of the show were a little tame, there's a good reason.
Essentially, 'Grey's Anatomy' was moved to an 8PM slot on ABC and that means it can't have certain sexier aspects in the show - but ferry accidents, plane crashes and everything else is fair game. Just no sexiness. Anyway, with the new spinoff of 'Grey's Anatomy' on the way - 'Station 19' - the show is moving to its original 9PM slot.
In short, it's a more sexier time for 'Grey's Anatomy', and considering 'Station 19' is all about firefighters, you can basically guess where it's going to go.
'Grey's Anatomy and 'Station 19' start back in the US on January 23rd, and will arrive on screens on this side of the Atlantic some time after.
