Well, that was awkward
A live interview with everyone's favourite talk show host, Graham Norton, got off to a terrible, awkward start.
With 'The Graham Norton Show' kicking off for the first time in 2021 tonight, the Irish host is naturally doing a few interviews to promote the series.
This included one on 'This Morning' with Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary.
They were hosting the show together for the very first time, replacing married couple Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, who used to present the show on Fridays.
For one of her first guests, Hammond managed to stick her foot in it, really from the get-go.
The TV presenter said that the last time she'd seen Graham was when he was out walking his dog, and that she was soon getting a dog too.
"Have you still got your dog?" she asked.
"Ehh, no," he bluntly answered. "Dead."
In fairness, Alison Hammond looked very sorry she'd asked, saying she was "absolutely devastated."
Moreover, Graham and Dermot could not stop laughing at her mistake.
"As soon as you asked the question, I thought, well, this is going to go one of two ways," said Dermot.
"I was devastated when it happened, I've been horrible to you," Graham joked.
