O'Riordan's former bandmates vow that the frontwoman 'will always be with us'
Yesterday marked two years since Dolores O'Riordan died.
The Cranberries frontwoman died on January 15th 2018 at the age of 46, and her death saw tributes paid from all four corners of the music world.
Since she passed away, her former bandmates released the final Cranberries album, pieced together using demos that she had sang on. 'In the End' was released in April 2019 and was seen by many as a fitting end to her legacy.
To mark the anniversary of her death, Cranberries drummer Fergal Lawler took to Twitter with a poignant message to share with fans. He noted that he had heard 'Linger' on the radio and that it was both sad and uplifting:
“Ferg here. It’s hard to believe that it’s been two years since Dolores’s passing. Linger was playing on the radio this morning, listening to it was both sad + uplifting. Sad because she has passed but uplifting because she will always be with us through her voice and her songs.” pic.twitter.com/Ski7G0Zghg

It has been 2 years since one of my musical idols, Dolores O’Riordan of the Cranberries, left this earth. Don’t take one day for granted. There are no guarantees. Have a great day Twitter friends! I will be playing and singing some of my favourite Cranberries tunes after work 😊

As daft as it sounds the music of The Cranberries was a huge part of me getting through secondary school.
Hard to believe it’s been 2 years since we lost the incredibly talented, Dolores O’Riordan.
