The French duo are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the soundtrack
2020 didn't bring a new Daft Punk album, unfortunately, but the French duo have gifted fans with 'new' music of-sorts for Christmas.
It's been over seven years since their last studio album 'Random Access Memories', but before that, 2010 saw them release their only soundtrack to date - 'Tron: Legacy'.
To celebrate that film and soundtrack's 10th anniversary, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter have made the 'complete edition' of their soundtrack available to stream for the first time. That includes nine bonus tracks from the soundtrack which were previously unreleased and unavailable to fans.
Earlier this year, they released a vinyl box set featuring seven previously-unreleased songs from their back catalogue.
Let's hope this 'clearing out' of the archives signals some new material soon - although before that, they're set to do more soundtrack work for Dario Argento's next film and the third 'Tron' film.
Until then, the nine tracks are available to stream on Spotify and Apple Music.
