ICYMI Kristen Wiig recreated Pigeon Lady from 'Home Alone 2'

Well, this is a tad darker than Brenda Fricker's performance...

'Home Alone' is regarded as one of the ultimate Christmas classics but its sequel 'Home Alone 2: Lost in New York' doesn't always get the love it deserves.

After all, 'Home Alone 2' has all the ingredients of its predecessor, plus the setting of the Big Apple; and a showdown in FAO Schwarz.

The sequel saw the return of Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin), his family and the wet bandits (Joe Pesci & Daniel Stern).

There was a new addition in the Pigeon Lady character, played by Brenda Fricker. She was the first Irish actress to win an Oscar.

'Home Alone 2' features an emotional final reunion between Pigeon Lady and Kevin after she saves the kid's life.

But this 'SNL' sketch from last weekend, in which Kristen Wiig plays Pigeon Lady (with Irish accent and all) and Melissa Villaseñor playing Kevin, imagines an alternate ending for the sequel.

This probably isn't the movie you'd sit down to watch with your family this Christmas...
