Speedrunners continue to post incredible times in blockbuster game

We reported last week that a speedrunner managed to beat 'Elden Ring' in 37 minutes, and a speedrunner has managed to shave a whole 12 minutes off that record.

Streamer Hazeblade managed to beat the game in 24 minutes and 37 seconds, using a new teleportation method dubbed "the zip".

HazeBlade is able to finish the game in the time it takes to have an extended coffee break, and per his channel, he has already made 5 previous videos of him beating the game in incredibly quick times.

With this video, Hazeblade has become the first player in the world to beat FromSoftware's latest opus in less than 25 minutes.

Speedrunning has become increasingly popular in recent years, with players racing each other to beat games in a quick amount of time, and speedrunners often discover glitches or quirks in the games called "straits" which allows them to bypass large parts of the game.

HazeBlade's teleportation methods and habit of saving the game and reloading has helped him achieve this incredible feat of beating a game that can take players around 50 hours to beat in 25 minutes.

'Elden Ring' has become a blockbuster success since it launched last month, with the game selling over 12 million copies already and establishing itself as an early contender for Game Of The Year.

In all likelihood, we will probably write another article soon about a speedrunner beating 'Elden Ring' in less than 20 minutes, as speedrunners learn from each other and try to beat previously set records.

We fully expect someone to post a 5-minute speedrun of 'Elden Ring' while blindfolded by the end of the year.
