Nigellissima - An Italian Inspired Christmas. BBC2: 8.00pm
She annoys the living the daylights out of me, but I know some of you enjoy her perma-simpering, lip licking antics. Here Nigella travels to Venice to soak up the atmosphere and gain inspiration for dishes for a Christmas party with the usual Italian twist. Back home, among the fairy lights, she creates a tasty buffet menu for her guests, preparing a Venetian cocktail served with quick and easy canapes including Parmesan shortbreads and panettone stuffing squares. Nigella's take on the traditional roast bird is - wait for it - "turkey breast stuffed with Italian sausage" and marsala-steeped cranberries, served with salad and Brussels sprout pasta.
