Nigel Slater's 12 Tastes of Christmas. BBC1: 7.30pm
He may not be the best known among the slew of 'TV foodies', but folk apparently just can't get enough of food-related programming around Christmas, and Nigel's ahead of the pack with this instalment. The food writer presents the first of two programmes in which he creates a selection of festive dishes, getting into the spirit of the season with ideas for both self-indulgence and entertaining. He also makes a culinary trip to Norway, during which he goes in search of a special Christmas tree.
