Temple House Festival

With the number of annual music festivals sadly waning in these recessionary times, it's wonderful to see a brand new one setting up shop in Sligo. Temple House Festival is a brand new three day family-friendly, music, culture and arts festival taking place at Temple House from Friday 10th until Sunday 12th September 2010. Festival-goers will be welcomed on site from Thursday evening and will be able to sleep in yurts, tepees and cottages dotted around the festival grounds, as well as the usual camping options for those on a budget. As well as live music from the likes of The Undertones, The Wailers, Reef, The Stunning, Howard Jones, Saw Doctors and DJ sets from Peter Hook, Terry Hall and Donal Dineen, there will be poetry readings, face painting, holistic therapies, art exhibitions, farmers market, vintage clothes and jewellery fair plus a plethora of other carefully selected attractions. Additional fun for the kids will be provided by a dedicated children's team which aim to make the most of the Temple House estate.
