Festival season is well and truly underway, and the latest big event takes place in Co. Wicklow this weekend.

Beyond the Pale will return for a second year after its successful debut in 2022, with 3 days of music, art, a food village, bars and more lined up for punters at the Glendalough Estate.

If you're heading along - or thinking of heading along this June 16th - 18th 2023 - here's what you need to know...

ARE THERE ANY TICKETS LEFT?

At time of writing, there were tickets still on sale - weekend camping tickets are €245 plus fees, while Sunday day tickets are on sale at €99.50 plus fees.

WHAT'S THE AGE LIMIT?

Beyond the Pale is strictly over-21s. Under 12s tickets are available for €59, in conjunction with a parent or guardian holding a weekend camping ticket.

WHERE IS IT ON?

It's on in the grounds of the Glendalough Estate in Co. Wicklow.

WHO'S PLAYING?

There's a stellar line-up in store, including Grace Jones, Hot Chip, Thundercat, Jon Hopkins, Leftfield, Little Dragon, Oneohtrix Point Never, Candi Staton, For Those I Love, Pillow Queens and lots more.

The arts programme includes art installations, a new comedy stage featuring Deirdre O’Kane, Emma Doran and Gearoid Farrelly. There’s a food village and food demos with chefs, and a wellness programme with yoga, massages, saunas, meditation and more.

HOW DO I GET THERE?

Driving? There's a different festival entrance this year. Search for the village of Roundwood on Google Maps, follow the festival signage and enter via Oldbridge.

By bus? Marathon Coaches and are providing buses to Beyond the Pale Festival 2023 from different parts of Dublin. It’s an easy and hassle free way to get to and from Beyond the Pale, ensuring you can chill out and enjoy the festival, while also helping us minimise the carbon footprint of the festival. IS THERE PARKING?

There is free parking available for those driving to the festival. Parking is located as close to the front entrance as possible, which is only a mere 10 minute walk from the campsite.

WHAT'S THE WEATHER GOING TO BE LIKE?

According to Accuweather, you can expect "Intervals of clouds and sunshine with a couple of showers and a thunderstorm from late morning on" on Friday, "Times of clouds and sun with a couple of showers and a thunderstorm in the afternoon" on Saturday, while Sunday is looking cloudy but warm. Expect humid conditions.

WHAT CAN I BRING/NOT BRING?

Campers can bring 1 case of Beer (24 Cans) or 2 bottles of wine, 1 x Litre of Spirits. Glass bottles and mirrors are not allowed there will be strict checks at the entrance to ensure the allowance is being adhered to.

Professional cameras/recording equipment are not allowed.

WHAT TIME DO GATES OPEN?

The festival site opens at 12pm on Friday, with music starting in the main arena at 4pm. The campsite will close at 12pm on Monday June 19th.
