When the opportunity came along to chat to James Morrison about his new album in our very own entertainment.ie studio, the teenage girl in me squealed with delight.

Throw it back to 2006 when his first album ‘Undiscovered’ hit the airways. One word; obsessed! Songs like, Under the Influence, You Give Me Something and The Pieces Don't Fit Anymore were the anthems to my late teens.

Fast-forward 13 years, two #1 albums, five Top 10 singles, a BRIT Award and 7 million sales later, here we are with the release of James Morrison's brilliant fifth album, ‘You’re Stronger Than You Know’.

In our exclusive interview, James talks about the inspiration behind his new album, working with Joss Stone on their single My Love Goes On, his upcoming gig in the Olympia and why he loves Irish crowds!

‘You’re Stronger Than You Know’ is the album that James Morrison has always wanted to make. Vocally he’s never sounded better, with his honest songwriting inspiring a voice that exudes power, tenderness and experience. His band, meanwhile, hit that life-affirming sweet spot between rambunctious energy and tight musicianship.

The album is out now from all the usual spots. Tickets for his Dublin gig on April 4th are also on sale now. Visit olympia.ie for more info.
