It might be December, but there’s no reason to hoard all that extra cash for presents, spend it on yourself now. Sure don’t you deserve it, don’t you do more for yourself than anyone else. Exactly.

Go spend that cash on having a good time, and thanks to us and AIB, you don’t even have to try find things to do, because we’ve teamed up to give you a rundown of the best events from all around the country.

Shane Filan | Olympia Theatre / Tue 2nd December

The former Westlife frontman is back home after completing his tour of Asia and the UK, and when we say home, we mean properly home.

He’s playing the Knocknarea Arena in his native Sligo on Friday, but you can catch him before then in the INEC on Wednesday, or the Olympia Theatre on Tuesday.

John Bishop | 3Arena / Thu-Fri 4th-5th December

I’m going to go out on a limb here and call Bish’ everyone’s favourite Liverpudlian comedian, and it’s not just because I can’t think of any others.

Ok, well I can’t, but try find someone with a bad word to say about the League of Their Own team captain. Currently touring his “Supersonic Tour”, he’ll be playing the 3 Arena on the 4th and 5th before heading up to the Odyssey Arena for the 6th and 7th.

David Gray | The INEC / Thu 4th December

The chances are you had his “White Ladder” album, because everyone did. It’s still the highest selling album of all time in Ireland, so chances are you had two of them.

And you don’t have to worry about missing him, because he’s playing all over the place, The INEC on the 6th, The Bord Gais on the 7th, and the Royal Theatre on the 8th, so no excuses this time people.

The Riptide Movement | Cyprus Avenue / Thu 4th December

Breaking through on your radio earlier this year with their hit single “All Works Out”, the Dublin four-piece are finishing their tour of the country with a headline gig in Vicar Street on Saturday.

But seeing as they’re on tour, if you can’t make the trip up on the 6th, you can see them beforehand. The penultimate show of the tour is on Thursday the 4th in Cork’s Cyprus Avenue.

Frank Skinner | Vicar Street / Wed 3rd December

If thinking of two comedians from Liverpool was tough, try do the same with West Bromwich. Yeah, neither could we, although to be fair until five minutes ago we didn’t even know one.

But nevertheless, Frank Skinner is coming to Dublin as part of his "Man In A Suit" tour, and you can find him in Vicar Street on Wednesday. It’s not often he’s over, and you’re not going to want to miss the man credited with modern sports TV “banter”.
