If you're going to take tips from someone on how to work a crowd for the biggest gig of your lives, you should probably take them from Bruce Springsteen.

Coldplay's Chris Martin has revealed that Springsteen has given the band a few pointers ahead of their Superbowl gig on Sunday, where the likes of Beyonce, Rihanna, Bruno Mars and god-knows-who-else will join them at halftime at the Levi's Stadium in California.

Martin was speaking in an interview with with CBS when he revealed what The Boss told him: "It's gotta be muscle memory. You gotta know every note man. Twelve minutes — that ain't long, but it's long enough."

Springsteen himself played the halftime show at Superbowl in 2009.
