Just yesterday, we brought you news of what everyone suspected was the imminent return of The Avalanches.
Now, news of the Australian band's renaissance has been confirmed, as they've just announced their first gigs in 15 years.
They'll play three festival dates - one in Australia, one in Europe and one in the UK - and while there's no news on an album, the fact that they have allegedly been working on new material for several years has led many fans to believe that a new album is about to be released.
The dates they have announced are:
Primavera Sound, Barcelona - June 2nd - 4th
Field Day, London - June 12th
Splendour in the Grass, Byron Bay - July 22nd - 24th
Fingers crossed that they'll be back over this way, perhaps *ahem* later in the summer....?
