Quirky indie-folk-popper Sufjan Stevens will release his new album this March.
'Carrie & Lowell' is named for his mother and stepfather, and is the follow-up to his last studio album, 2010's 'The Age of Adz'.
It's out on March 27th in Ireland and reports suggest that it's a return to Stevens's folkier roots.
The Detroit-born musician is known for his wide-ranging style and various ambitious concept albums over the course of his career, but scored his biggest hit with his 2005 record 'Come On Feel the Illnoise', an installment in his ongoing '50 states' project, where he intends to write an album for every state in the USA.
The artwork for 'Carrie & Lowell' can be seen below - yup, we're guessing they're his parents - as well as a trailer for the album.
