Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' is undoubtedly one of the most iconic rock videos ever made - and now, someone has managed to unearth the casting call for it.

The Twitter account @historyofsound tweeted the poster, which called for Nirvana fans who were "18 to 25 years old" and could "adapt a high school personna (sic), i.e. preppy, punk, nerd, jock…"

The video was shot in Culver City, California on August 17th 1991, the single was released in September… and the rest, as they say, is history.
