You have to hand it to Jake Bugg; he may be young, but he's not taking criticism lying down.

At least, not criticism from Noel Gallagher.

Responding to the comments that Gallagher had previously made about being 'heartbroken' to hear that Bugg had written the songs on his debut album with other songwriters, he said in a new interview with NME:

"Noel's last album ['Chasing Yesterday'] is pretty crap, though, innit? Put that in. I'm not upset about it because it's just Noel – he'll slag off Ed Sheeran and be at a party with him the next week, like.

It's just the way he is. He was definitely an influence on my music, but I don't care what anyone says, man. I'm just doing music the way I wanna do it."
