Jo And Danny apparently hate being called a 'hippy folk duo', but after several listens to their intermittently charming debut album, it still seems like a perfectly accurate description. There's some variety, to be fair, with baggy grooves, electric guitar and psychedelic beats all making fleeting appearances. But for the most part the mood is pastoral, with tambourines and horns merely providing some pretty window dressing for standard indie fare. Agreeable stuff, but by the end you can't help feeling that Jo and Danny's musical identity is more than a little confused. For now they're just a bit too drippy to get really excited about.
